Sports Broadcaster for CBS Sports & Tennis Channel

Bill Macatee joined USA Sports in 1990 as host of USA’s extensive professional golf coverage. Now in his 15th year residing in the 18th tower at PGA TOUR events, Macatee also hosts USA Network’s golf coverage of such tournaments as the Masters and the Ryder Cup.

In 1995, Bill Macatee joined CBS Sports as studio host of the CBS Television Network’s golf coverage. He now plays a major role as an announcer not only for CBS Sports’ golf coverage, including the Masters, but also for the U.S. Open Tennis Championships, the NFL and a variety of CBS Sports Spectacular events, including skiing and the ATP Tennis Tour.

Macatee began his sportscasting career with NBC in 1982 at the age of 26, becoming the youngest network sportscaster in the industry. With NBC Sports, he served as anchor and co-anchor for NBC’s pregame shows for the NFL and Major League Baseball and reported on a variety of NBC Sports events, including the World Series, Super Bowl XVII, Rose Bowl, Orange Bowl, and Wimbledon. In addition, Macatee served as the sports correspondent for The Today Show and sports anchor for NBC News at Sunrise and Sunday Today.

Bill Macatee was born November 17, 1955 in Rome, New York and earned a degree in speech from Lamar University in 1978. He currently resides in Newport Beach, California with his daughter Caitlin.
