McCuddy joined the channel in 1996, after a stint with NBC's "America's Talking" network. McCuddy is a regular contributor to "The O'Reilly Factor," "Your World with Neil Cavuto," and "Fox and Friends Weekend Edition." He has been a guest on "The Today Show," "Dateline" and "Late Night with Conan O'Brien." He also wrote briefly for Saturday Night Live. He enjoys live television because there's "No evidence of what you've goofed up and the lighting is very good." He is currently working on a book, Stage Right: The New Emerging Conservative Hollywood.
Tales from the Red Carpet: How I Survive Tinseltown
Oscar and Golden Globe reporting only looks glamorous on television. Behind the scenes, pushing and shoving to get through publicists and handlers makes for a tense battleground. You'll learn why Russell Crowe wanted to throw more than a phone at Bill McCuddy. How he conned Barbra Streisand into stopping by and why she thought she was on TV when there wasn't even a tape in the camera. And why Tom Cruise stopped for Bill alone and brought then-wife Nicole Kidman with him. You won't feel sorry for someone who gets to rub shoulders and mascara with the stars, but you'll watch with a more cynical eye next time.
