Mr. William Pieroni, also known as Bill, has been the Chief Operating Officer of Marsh LLC since September 19, 2011. He is the Chief Operating Officer at ACORD Corporation. He served as an Operations Vice President for State Farm Insurance Companies. He joined Marsh from State Farm where, as Senior Vice President and part of the Office of the Chairman and was responsible for U.S. and international strategic planning, competitor and consumer research, internal consulting, as well as leading key transformational initiatives across the enterprise. He joined State Farm in 2006. He served as Global Chief Information Officer of Aon plc since June 20, 2005 and also served as Senior Vice President. He was responsible for information technology across all of Aon's business units and geographies. He has extensive technology and industry experience, working with insurance companies and other clients on complex information and technology issues. Prior to joining Aon, he served as the General Manager, Global Insurance Industry for IBM and also worked as a Partner at Accenture, and Consultant with McKinsey & Company. He serves as a Director of ACORD Corporation.
