Bill Sears

Renowned Pediatric Physician & Author

Think about the children you know: nieces, nephews, friends, kids, or your own. Out of those children, how many have been diagnosed with diabetes, ADD, ADHD, OCD or another physical or behavioral disorder that was considered rare for kids 20 or even 10 years ago?

Dr. William Sears, M.D., an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine and practicing pediatrician for more than three decades, believes he has the answer to why this is happening. He explains the cause, and cure, for these disorders in The N.D.D. Book: How Nutrition Deficit Disorder Affects Your Child’s Learning, Behavior, and Health, and What You Can Do About It – Without Drugs.

Dr. Bill explores the latest scientific research on the effects of nutrition on the brain. He will present case studies of his own patients who were diagnosed as “N.D.D.” and showed major improvement in learning and behavior with diet change. Instead of simply medicating his patients, Dr. Bill looked for a better solution–in fact, with better nutrition, many of his patients were able to greatly reduce or even stop their medication. The book will also provide parents with shopping and meal tips, and recipes to make implementing a healthier lifestyle that much easier.

Dr. Bill is the father of eight children as well as the author of more than 30 books on childcare. He received his pediatric training at Harvard Medical School’s Children’s Hospital and Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children. Dr. Bill is an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine and has practiced pediatrics for more than three decades.

At the podium, Dr. Bill explains how your child should be eating and not be eating; the role of exercise; and how parents can instill healthy eating habits from an early age.
