William "Billy" Brown is an American actor best known for his role as Detective Nate Lahey in the Shonda Rhimes drama series, How to Get Away with Murder. He is also known for his roles in the television series Lights Out, Dexter, Sons of Anarchy, and Hostages.

Brown also had a recurring role on the new FOX hit series, "The Following," opposite Kevin Bacon and James Purefoy. Other TV credits are "Californication," "Law & Order: SVU," "Southland," "Sleeper Cell," "Dirt," "E-Ring," "Criminal Minds," "NCIS," "CSI: NY," and "Cold Case."

His feature credits include "Star Trek," "Cloverfield," "Race To Witch Mountain" and "Lakeview Terrace", and"Proud Mary".
