Billy Postlethwaite is an English actor known for Tomb Raider, Game of Thrones and Containment. He is the son of actor Pete Postlethwaite, and has followed in his fathers footsteps by appearing in some of the same plays that he watched his father in while growing up; most recently, appearing as the titular character in Macbeth almost 20 years after his father's famous performance as the Scottish king.

Off the stage, he has made a name for himself in film and television. He appeared in a memorable scene in Game of Thrones where Arya Stark, played by Maisie Williams, encounters a friendly group of Lannister soldiers, including Poslethwaite and Ed Sheeran. Poslethwaite's character offers a more sympathetic perspective to the soldiers, as he tells Arya about his newborn child.

Most recently, he appeared in Chernobyl, the HBO hit mini-series, as Boris Stolyarchuk, the agency’s deputy chief inspector of nuclear and radiation safety.
