Black Eyed Peas

American Hip-Hop Group Known for "I Gotta Feeling"

The Black Eyed Peas is an American musical group consisting of rappers will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo and Jessica Reynoso. The group was formed in 1995 in Los Angeles and originally made hip-hop music, although their sound has shifted towards pop and dance-pop. Before renaming themselves The Black Eyed Peas, the band was previously known as The Black Eyed Pods.

The Black Eyed Peas is one of the world's best-selling groups of all time. The 2003 song "Where Is the Love?" was the band's first major hit. Some of their other hit songs include "I Gotta Feeling," "Boom Boom Pow," "Imma Be," "My Humps" and "Don't Phunk with My Heart." In February 2011, The Black Eyed Peas performed at the Super Bowl XLV halftime show.

In 2017, it was announced that Fergie, part of the most successful Black Eyed Peas lineup, would be taking a break from the band to focus on her solo career. Fergie was not featured on their seventh studio album, Masters of the Sun, Vol. 1. Jessica Reynoso appeared as a vocalist on the album in lieu of Fergie.
