Mr. Effron is co-founder of Centerview Partners, a leading independent investment banking firm specializing in general advisory, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and principal investing officed in New York, London and San Francisco. Since it’s founding in 2006, Centerview has advised in over $450 billion in merger, acquisition, divestiture and recapitalization transactions. Selected clients include Capital One, Cisco, H.J. Heinz, ConAgra, Honeywell, Kraft, Motorola, NewsCorp, Pepsi, Pfizer, Polo Ralph Lauren, and Ventas. Centerview also has $500 million of investment capital under management. Mr. Effron began his career in investment banking in 1987. He first joined Dillon Read, which was eventually merged into SBC Warburg and then UBS. During his nearly 20 years with the firm he held a variety of senior banking and administrative positions including sitting on several management committees and rising to the position of Group Vice Chairman and a member of the Investment Bank Board of Directors. Mr. Effron sits on the Executive Committees of the Boards of Lincoln Center, and the New Visions for Public Schools. He also sits on the Boards of the Frick Museum and the Northside Center for Child Development, Inc. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a member of The Hamilton Project at the Brookings Institution.
