Fashion Designer, Women’s Rights Activist, CEO of Manufacture New York

Bob Bland is a mother of two young daughters, a fashion designer, and an international speaker focused on advocating for domestic manufacturing, sustainable supply chains, and design entrepreneurship education. She is also a women’s rights activist and served as a Co-Chair of the Women's March on Washington. On January 21, 2017, over 5 million people participated in a historic demonstration led by women, marking the largest single-day protest in U.S. history.

Bland is the CEO and Founder of Manufacture New York (MNY), a social enterprise aimed at transforming the fashion industry. Her work has not only been a case study at The United Nations and other global venues but has also been highlighted in the books "Sustainable Fashion: Past, Present & Future" (2015) and "We Own the City" (2014). She contributed significantly to the film "Making It In America: Empowering Global Fashion" and has been featured in multiple TV interviews, including on CNBC and CBS Evening News.

For her significant contributions to the Women’s March and other advocacy efforts, Bland has been honored with numerous awards including Forbes’ 50 World's Greatest Leaders, Time 100's Most Influential People, Glamour’s Women of the Year Award, and Working Mother Magazine’s 50 Most Powerful Moms. She previously served as Co-President & Board Member of Women's March, a nonprofit organization dedicated to political and social advocacy. Under her leadership, Women’s March inspired a new generation of women to engage in politics, as evidenced by the historic wave of women elected during the 2018 Midterm Elections. The movement continues to thrive, pushing for transformative social change and building inclusive structures guided by self-determination, dignity, and respect.
