Robert Fischer is a professor in the Department of Philosophy at Texas State University. He earned his PhD at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2011.

Fischer focuses on issues in applied ethics and modal epistemology. He works on issues in animal ethics, modal epistemology, moral psychology, and philosophical methodology. He is the editor of "The Moral Complexities of Eating Meat." This volume collects twelve new essays by leading moral philosophers who attempt to solve the ethical dilemma of meat eating by examining various implications and consequences of our food choices.
