Bonnie Garmus is an American author and former copywriter. She has worked as a copywriter and creative director in the US, and has lived in Switzerland and Colombia.

In April 2022, her debut novel, "Lessons in Chemistry," was published. As of January 2023, "Lessons in Chemistry" had been sold into 35 territories and has a television adaptation in production at Apple TV+ starring Brie Larson. The book was shortlisted for the 2023 RSL Christopher Bland Prize.

She’s an open-water swimmer, a rower, and mother to two pretty amazing daughters. Born in California and most recently from Seattle, she currently lives in London with her husband and her dog, 99.
