As a former elite men's tennis player, in 1990, Brad Gilbert was ranked the No. 4 singles player in the world and the U.S. men's No. 1. Gilbert's love and participation in the US Davis Cup team are prolific. Impressively, Gilbert played on Eight Davis Cup Teams from 1986, 1989, 1990, 1991, and 1993, accompanied Andre Agassi on US Davis Cup Team from 1994 - 2002, and Andy Roddick from 2003 to 2004. Gilbert also represented the United States as an Olympian. He helped Andy Roddick to the 2003 U.S. Open championship, also getting him to the 2003 Year End World No. 1. He brought Andy Murray to the top ten as a newcomer and teenager on tour. Gilbert's 2011 work with Kei Nishikori made an astounding leap from 98 in the world to world ranking to top 25 by year-end. He's the only coach in the history of the ATP rankings (since 1973) to lead two players to a year-end No. 1 ranking.
