Brenden Gilbert is a Technology veteran, with 27+ years in various technologies, team leading, and inspiration driving efforts.

What is unique about him: He is a deaf person who uses American Sign Language to communicate, navigating special challenges to be on the same playing field as everyone else.

Gilbert was recently at Meta for almost 4 years as a Senior Product Hardware Engineer. He specialized in AI/Machine Learning servers for the data center organization across 20+ regions globally and multiple teams.

Gilbert has navigated successfully leading teams, organizations and cross-functional initiatives across all companies and internal organizations inside those companies he has worked with.

He is also a phenomenal and passionate Accessibility evangelist and advocate! His interests lie especially with the AR/VR/XR space where people have the potential to be given superpowers and be on the same level. Gilbert also has worked with applications and internal company accessibility such as events, training curriculum, recruiting, and accommodations as well.

It is important for him that the world be as accessible and inclusive as possible in everything. This is so that people with disabilities do not have to keep working hard to be on the same level as everyone else in work, life, and everything else.

In his spare time, he tries to collect all retro game consoles and games, and also travels to interesting places, often on “roads less traveled”.
