Professional Ice Hockey Player

Brian Joseph Gionta is a professional ice hockey player who is currently a member of the United States men's national ice hockey team. Gionta played professionally in the National Hockey League from 2001 to 2017, most recently as the captain of the Buffalo Sabres.

Gionta began his ice hockey career at Boston College, helping them win a national championship during the 2000-01 season.

He would go on to play for the New Jersey Devils, where he assisted the team in winning the 2003 Stanley Cup Finals. Following his time on the Devils, Gionta played for the Montreal Canadiens and the Buffalo Sabres.

Gionta is a member of the United States men's national ice hockey team, as well as the USA 2018 Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Team, where he was named as USA team captain.
