Britt Nicole

Christian Pop Singer-Songwriter

Brittany Nicole Waddell, better known by her stage name, Britt Nicole, is a Christian pop singer-songwriter.

She has mainly charted as a Christian pop artist, but in 2012 found her debut mainstream single, "Gold," and, in 2013, her single "Ready or Not," hit the Mainstream Top 40.

Her fourth studio album, 2012's Gold, was nominated for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album at the 55th Grammy Awards.

Her next album, the eponymous Britt Nicole, was released in 2016.

She was born and raised in Salisbury, North Carolina, and began singing at age three in her church. In high school, Britt Nicole was a member of her high school's advanced choir group and performed with them at the famous Carnegie Hall.

She turned down a scholarship from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, to pursue a full-time music career. She felt that God was telling her to concentrate on singing instead of going to college. On January 10, 2003, released her debut album, Follow the Call, as an independent release under the name Brittany Waddell.
