Brittany Packnett Cunningham is a leader at the intersection of culture and justice.

Cited by President Barack Obama as a leader whose "voice is going to be making a difference for years to come," Cunningham is an educator, activist, writer, and award-winning podcaster and leader. Cunningham has become a sought-after voice in the work of social change and empowerment. Cunningham plays many roles, all focused on freedom.

Cunningham is Vice President of Social Impact at BET, an NBC News and MSNBC Political Analyst, and host of UNDISTRACTED, a news and justice podcast with an intersectional lens on the world. A lifelong activist and proud member of the Ferguson Uprising, Cunningham was co-host of the 2019 iHeart Radio Best Political Podcast Pod Save The People for three years, and a three-time a fellow at Harvard’s Institute of Politics.

Her 2019 TED Talk on the revolution of confidence has garnered over 7 million views worldwide, making it one of the top ten most popular TED Talks of 2019. Cunningham is the author of the forthcoming book, We Are Like Those Who Dream, with One World/Penguin Random House, due to hit shelves soon.

Cunningham is the Founder and Principal Love & Power Works a full-service social impact firm focused on creating justice and equity in every sector. This agency is a sister to Love & Power: The Brand, a hub created to inspire, empower, and outfit everyday people to seismically shift society.

In the past, Cunningham held top roles at Teach For America, was a Congressional policy advisor, and co-founded Campaign Zero. She has leveraged her management, communications, policy and equity skillset on broad justice issues from public education to criminal justice. She was a member of President Obama's Task Force on 21st Century Policing and the Ferguson Commission, helping lead the country and her community through change during times of tumult.

From New Zealand to Oxford, from Harvard to the White House, Cunningham has traveled extensively to impart lessons of movement building, social impact, leadership, and intersectional feminism to diverse audiences.

She has graced the cover September 2020 cover of British Vogue, the December 2022 Cover of InClub Magazine, and the April 2017 cover of Essence Magazine. She has been named one of TIME Magazine’s 12 New Faces of Black Leadership, and honored at the 2018 BET Awards as "one of the fiercest activists of our time." Cunningham has been named to Marie Claire's 50 Most Influential Women twice, LinkedIn’s Next Wave, received the Peter Jennings Award for Civic Leadership and shares the number 3 spot on Politico’s 2016 50 Most Influential list, among others.

Cunningham is an alum of Washington University in St. Louis, American University in Washington, and the Pahara-Aspen Institute Fellowship. She is a proud member of the Gucci Changemakers Council, Sephora Equity Advisors, and the Children’s Defense Fund Action Council.
