Three-time NBA Champion and eight-time NBA All-Defensive Team, San Antonio Spurs forward Bruce Bowen has made a name for himself in the NBA with his ability to stop the league’s best scorers. A 12 –year NBA veteran, Bowen ranks sixth on the Spurs all-time list in 3PT-FG made and is just the fourth San Antonio Spur to earn all defensive honors three or more times joining David Robinson, Tim Duncan and Alvin Robertson.

He clinched three NBA titles with the San Antonio Spurs in 2003, 2005, and 2007, while also earning five NBA All-Defensive First Team selections from 2004 to 2008 and three NBA All-Defensive Second Team nods from 2001 to 2003. His jersey, No. 12, was retired by the San Antonio Spurs, commemorating his contributions to the team. Bowen's college career at Cal State Fullerton saw him excel, earning First Team All-Big West honors in 1993 and Second Team recognition in 1992, leading to his induction into both the San Antonio Sports Hall of Fame and the Cal State Fullerton Hall of Fame. Cal State Fullerton also retired his jersey, No. 25, as a testament to his impact on their basketball program.

He holds the Spurs franchise record of consecutive games started at 500. Bowen did not miss a game from February 26, 2002 to March 14, 2008.
