Bruce Golden

Partner, Accel Partners

Bruce Golden has been a partner at Accel for 18 years and a member of the Accel London team for the past 13 years, focusing on cloud and open-source enterprise software. The four-time Midas Lister's biggest recent wins include business intelligence software firm Qlik (IPO 2010 and, at $2 billion, one of the largest exits in European venture history) and cloud marketing software firm Responsys (IPO 2011, acquired by Oracle in early 2014 for $1.6 billion). Responsys was one of the first venture-backed SaaS companies and Golden got in at the Series A with Foundation Capital in 1998. Other notable exits include ComScore, Super Derivatives, and Amobee. Golden is on numerous boards including Qlik, Correlsense, Forgerock (up 10x in bookings since Accel's investment) and MindCandy. Golden previously spent fifteen years in operating roles at Lucasfilm, Sun Microsystems, Illustra and Informix before he joined Accel in 1997. Golden and his family are actively involved with Seeds of Peace, an organization committed to conflict resolution in the Middle East. A theater fanatic, Golden is a trustee at Berkeley Repertory Theater, where he helps sponsor new playwrights and original productions.
