Bruce W. Heinemann was born and raised in Seattle and earned his degree in anthropology from the University of Washington in 1976. Becoming a fine art nature photographer, writer, and publisher, he has published branded nature calendars and coffee table books for corporate clients from Fortune 500 companies, to small, community based businesses.

In 1992, he published his first book: The Art of Nature: Reflections on the Grand Design. In 1997, as a co-producer and cinematographer, he released a music video based on the book, and narrated by Emmy-winning actor, Tom Skerrett. It went on to win a Gold Award at the 1997 Houston International Film Fest. and was syndicated to over 147 PBS stations around the country for broadcast. He has to date published eight books, the last two co-published with Barnes and Noble, and just published his eighth book on his native state: Washington The Art of The Landscape.

In 1993, he was awarded the Virginia Merrill Bloedel award, by the Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island, Washington, for his contributions to the welfare of nature.

In addition, he has created a series of inspirational videos that explore imagination, love and gratitude, health and wellness and the fine art of healing.
