Bryan Voltaggio

Chef, Restaurantuer, TV Personality, Cookbook Author, Philanthropist & Farmer; Early Adopter of Farm-to-Table Cuisine

Bryan Voltaggio is a chef, restauranteur, television personality, cookbook author, philanthropist and farmer. He is an early adopter of farm-to-table cuisine. He owns Showroom and the The Ordinary Hen restaurants, and co-owns Voltaggio Brothers Steakhouse with his brother Michael.

Voltaggio is an avid supporter and participant in the Chefs Cycle event for No Kid Hungry, a campaign run by the nonprofit Share Our Strength to end childhood hunger in the United States

Voltaggio has been a finalist on Bravo’s “Top Chef,” as well as “Top Chef Masters”—the first contestant to compete on both shows—during which he raised funds for Share Our Strength, a charity he avidly supports throughout the year. He co-hosted the show, "Battle of the Brothers," with his brother Michael.

The James Beard Foundation Award recognized his now defunct restaurant VOLT in 2009 as a finalist for “Best New Restaurant.” In 2011, Voltaggio and his brother, Michael Voltaggio of L.A.’s INK, co-authored the cookbook, Volt. INK; his second cookbook will be released in the fall 2014.

Even with the recognition that has come with television, cookbook publishing, and restaurant expansion, Voltaggio’s goals for the future remain true to the reason he began cooking as a teenager in the first place.
