Bryant Lavender is from Gulfport, MS where his mother groomed, he and his brother’s speech at an early age. She focused more on articulation and annunciation which is his foundation of expression when he speaks. The drive to inspire people he has always possessed, but the passion stems from the death of his father. Thirteen-year-old Bryant looked at his father in the casket and made a promise to make it. At that time, he was speaking in terms of athletics because his first love was football. What helped Bryant keep his promise is giving his life to Christ at thirteen, writing in journals, and often giving speeches to his teammates. He graduated from Gulfport High School in 2009. He received an athletic scholarship to play at the University of South Alabama where graduated in 2013. He entered the 2014 NFL draft, but went undrafted as a free-agent. When he prayed to God to ask for guidance, God reminded Bryant about the book he said he would write. In 2014 Bryant became a published author with his first book Mind Under Pigskin. He also had his first official speaking engagement the same year at his old middle school Bayou View. In 2015, Bryant would author another book, Sweet Asylum and get his opportunity to play professional football with the Tampa Bay Storm in the AFL and Central Florida Jaguars in the AIF. While spending time in central Florida Bryant was the Keynote speaker for United Way Central Florida and Pinellas County school. Bryant came back to Gulfport in 2017 to help his mother, but that didn’t stop him from writing, speaking, or training. He went to go play with the Triangle Torch in Raleigh, North Carolina while publishing and releasing his third book, Driven Fight for what they said you couldn’t have, in 2018. Bryant publish his fourth book, Finding my way back, in 2020. Since then Bryant had the opportunity to be on news stations such as WLOX and WXXV25. Along with going on Dr. Phillip Levin’s meet the author tv show and has keynoted many places such as Clarkdale middle school, Houma Christian, Virginia College, Empower the youth conference, and Success Conference just to name a few.
