Building 429

Christian Rock Band; Name Derived From Ephesians 4:29

Building 429 is a Christian rock band whose name is derived from the Biblical passage Ephesians 4:29, which reads, "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen."

After several changes to their lineup, Building 429's current members are Jason Roy (lead vocals, keyboards, guitar), Michael Anderson (drums), Jesse Garcia (background vocals, keyboards, guitar), Aaron Branch (bass guitar, background vocals), and Steven Stewart (keyboards).

Building 429 was the Gospel Music Association's New Artist of the Year in 2005. At the 56th Annual Grammy Awards, their 2013 album, We Won't Be Shaken, was nominated for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album.

In 2015, the band released their ninth studio album, Unashamed, followed by 2018's Live the Journey.
