In 2019, she founded SOMAS, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating alternatives in the field of digital inclusion, through the promotion of research and structural diagnostics, content adaptation and creation, teacher training, and supporting young people in vulnerable situations, as well as developing educational tools. Its mission is to bridge gaps by bringing digital borders closer.

She was selected by FORBES as one of the 5 Brazilian tech talents under 30 and as one of the 100 leaders of tomorrow when she represented Brazil at the St. Gallen Symposium 2018, a global event held in Switzerland. In 2019, she became a character in a comic strip by Maurício de Souza, representing women in technology in the #DonaDaRua project. In 2021, she was recognized by ANEFAC as the Professional of the Year in the Young Talent category and won the Women in Tech Brazil 2021 award in the Entrepreneur category, representing Brazil at the global awards ceremony in Lisbon.

Camila is a delegate of Women20 (W20), an initiative of the G20 that provides advice to the participating state leaders. The scope of the discussions aligns with Camila's core causes: diversity, digital inclusion, education, and gender equality for a more prosperous society.

She is the creator of the "Women in Computing" portal, one of the first and most influential initiatives for the inclusion of women in the contemporary technology scene, having participated in major discussions on the topic both in Brazil and globally. In 2015, she became the first Latina to receive the Women of Vision award from the Anita Borg Institute.
