Camila Mendes is an actress best known for her role as Veronica Lodge on The CW’s hit teen drama "Riverdale," which brought her widespread recognition. Born in Charlottesville, Virginia, Mendes grew up in a Brazilian-American household, spending parts of her childhood in both the United States and Brazil. She graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 2016.

Mendes made her film debut in the 2018 comedy "The New Romantic" and has since appeared in a variety of projects, including "Palm Springs," a critically acclaimed sci-fi romantic comedy; Netflix’s psychological thriller "Dangerous Lies," which earned her a nomination for Female Movie Star at the 2020 People’s Choice Awards; and rom-coms "Upgraded" and "Música."

Known for her vibrant on-screen presence, Mendes has also taken on roles that explore themes of identity, relationships, and mental health, such as in Netflix’s dark comedy "Do Revenge." Outside of acting, she has used her platform to advocate for body positivity and representation in Hollywood, particularly for Latinx communities and she was named to TIME magazine's Latino Leaders list in 2024. Mendes has revealed that she previously struggled with bulimia, eventually seeking professional help after having a difficult time with her fittings for "Riverdale."
