Caoilfhionn Gallagher, an Irish-born barrister, has been serving at Doughty Street Chambers in London, specializing in human rights and civil liberties. Her notable efforts include leading the legal team for the release of Ibrahim Halawa, an Irish citizen imprisoned in Egypt, and representing survivors of the Hillsborough disaster and the 7/7 bombings. She also co-founded the 'Act for the Act' campaign and garnered recognition in 2017 when she was honored with UCD's alumni award in Law and received the title of Queen's Counsel.

Gallagher has not only been recognized for her legal prowess but also for her fervent advocacy against anti-Irish and anti-lawyer sentiments expressed by British government ministers in 2022.
