Carlo d’Asaro Biondo has managed Google’s Southern, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa business since September 2009. He began his career as a consultant for KPMG and 12 years later became the consulting group’s Chief Executive Officer in France. At the end of 2001, he joined Unisys as Vice President and General Manager for communications and media businesses. In February 2004, he joined AOL Europe as Senior Vice President for telecommunications. Five months later, he was appointed CEO of AOL France and three years later became President of AOL Europe. Carlo moved to Lagardere Active Media in the beginning of 2007 as CEO for International Operations, before joining Google in 2009. Carlo holds dual French and Italian nationalities. He was educated in Italy and lives in Paris with his wife, Nathalie. He was born in 1965 and has three children.
