Carmel McConnell
Founder , Magic Breakfast
Carmel's background is a mixture of activism and senior corporate roles.
A long time ago Carmel lived at Greenham Common, then via big corporate life became a successful ethics consultant to business. While researching her first book, Change Activist, she became aware of the huge, unseen problem of children arriving at school too hungry to learn and decided to do something about it.
She has an MBA in leading complex change and is author of five business and social change titles, including business best seller "Change Activist" and "The Happiness Plan" translated into 5 languages. Carmel was awarded the Social Entrepreneur of the Year (New Statesman/Edge) in 2008 and now works full time, on Magic Breakfast.
