Emmy-nominated five times for her writing on such classic television shows as Seinfeld, The Larry Sanders Show, Saturday Night Live, Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Laughter & Love, and The Oscars.

Leifer is currently a Writer/Co-Executive Producer for the Emmy-winning HBO series Hacks, starring Jean Smart and a Writer/Consulting Producer for HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm. She also appears in Showtime’s More Funny Women of A Certain Age standup comedy special.

She has written for the Oscars Telecast nine times! More than any other female writer to date. Most impressively, among her many honors is the prestigious Writer’s Guild Award for her writing on television’s classic comedy, Modern Family.

Starring in five of her own comedy specials that aired on HBO, Showtime and Comedy Central, Leifer holds the record (an unbelievable 25 times) for the most appearances on Late Show with David Letterman.

After all of her remarkable accomplishments, Leifer still finds time to perform at many of the country’s prominent comedy clubs, theaters and universities, doing stand-up comedy at its best alone, or appearing alongside such famous comics as Jerry Seinfeld, Bill Maher and Jay Leno.
