Ms. Carol M. Meyrowitz has been Chief Executive Officer of TJX Companies Inc., since January 28, 2007. Ms. Meyrowitz serves as Chief Executive Officer of T.J. Maxx, Inc. She served as Advisor of Berkshire Partners, LLC. She served as an Advisor of TJX Companies Inc. from January 21, 2005 to October 2005. She served as the President of TJX Companies from October 17, 2005 to January 30, 2011. She served as President of T.J. Maxx, Inc., a subsidiary of TJX Companies Inc. She has extensive management experience. She has been with TJX since 1983. Ms. Meyrowitz served as Senior Executive Vice President of The TJX Companies Inc. from March 29, 2004 to January 21, 2005 and President of The Marmaxx Group from 2001 to January 21, 2005. She served as an Executive Vice President of TJX Companies, Inc. from 2001 to March 29, 2004. She served as an Executive Vice President of Merchandising of Marmaxx Group from 2000 to 2001 and Senior Vice President of Merchandising from 1999 to 2000. Ms. Meyrowitz served as an Executive Vice President of Merchandising for Chadwick's of Boston Ltd., from 1996 to 1999; Senior Vice President of Merchandising from 1991 to 1996 and Vice President of Merchandising from 1989 to 1991. She served as an Executive Vice President of Merchandising - Chadwick business of Redcats USA, Inc. (formerly, Brylane Inc.) from December 1996 to 1999. Ms. Meyrowitz served as General Merchandise Manager of Chadwick's from March 1990 to March 1991 and Vice President and Senior Merchandise Manager from January 1989 to March 1990. She served as Vice President of Division Merchandise Manager, Hit or Miss from 1987 to 1989 and served as President of Homegoods, Inc. She has been a Director of Party City Holdings Inc. since August 2006, Staples, Inc. since December 2007, The TJX Companies, Inc. since September 2006 and Amscan Holdings Inc. since August 2006. She is a member of the board of overseers for the Joslin Diabetes Center. Ms. Meyrowitz served as an Independent Director of Yankee Holding Corp. (formerly Yankee Candle Co. Inc.) from September 2, 2004 to 2007.
