Carol Quillen    

President, Davidson College

Carol Quillen is president of Davidson College, where she is creating a new model for higher education in an increasingly interconnected world. Among other achievements, she led the creation of the Jay Hurt Hub for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, a nexus for community entrepreneurs, faculty research, and student initiatives.

Quillen previously worked at Rice University, as vice president for international and interdisciplinary initiatives, a member of the history faculty, director of the Boniuk Center for the Study and Advancement of Religious Tolerance, and vice provost for academic affairs. She served on President Obama’s Advisory Council on Financial Capability for Young Americans from 2014 to 2015. Princeton University recently awarded her the James Madison medal, given in recognition of an alum’s distinguished career.
