Actor; Known for "The Princess Bride"

Cary Elwes is an English actor and voice actor, best known for his roles as Westley in "The Princess Bride" and Robin Hood in "Robin Hood: Men in Tights."

Elwes made his acting debut in 1984 with Marek Kanievska's film "Another Country", in which he played James Harcourt. He then went on to play Guilford Dudley in the British historical drama film "Lady Jane", opposite Helena Bonham Carter. He then gained widespread recognition when cast in "The Princess Bride," which received critical acclaim, and has since become a cult classic.

His other noted roles include "Glory," "Kiss the Girls," "Days of Thunder," "Dracula," "Hot Shots!," "Twister," "The Jungle Book," "The Crush," "Liar, Liar," and "Saw." He has had recurring roles in television series such as "The X-Files," "Psych," "Stranger Things," and in 2019 joined the cast of "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel."
