Catfish And The Bottlemen

British Indie Rock Band

Catfish and the Bottlemen are a British rock band that formed in Llandudno, North Wales. The band consists of Van McCann (lead vocals), Billy Bibby (lead guitar), Benji Blakeway (bass guitar) and Bob Hall (drums). The band members all moved to Llandudno from different areas including Sheffield and Accrington. Van moved from Australia at a young age where he met a busker named Catfish the Bottleman, who he credits as the inspiration behind the band's name.

The band signed to Communion Records in 2013 and throughout 2013 released their first three singles: "Homesick," "Rango" and "Pacifier." In 2014 the band signed to Island Records and on March 17, released their first single of the year, "Kathleen," produced by Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian, Adele) and are set to release their debut album later this year. All of the singles released were premiered as Zane Lowe’s hottest record in the world and were playlisted on Radio 1. "Kathleen" ranked at No. 1 on MTV's hottest tracks in April 2014.

Catfish and the Bottlemen will be performing at over 30 festivals in the UK/Europe this summer including Reading & Leeds, Latitude, Kendal Calling, Tramlines, Ibiza Rocks and Governors Ball in New York City.

On June 19, 2014, the band announced the release of their debut album The Balcony, which was released September 15, 2014.
