Streaming live on Mashable, MeetMe founder Catherine Cook will answer questions from readers on Aug. 9 at 3 p.m. ET (12 p.m. PT). As part of the Young Entrepreneur Council’s program, YEC StartupLab, Cook will be appear live via video chat broadcast on this site.

Catherine Cook is the co-founder of MeetMe, the public market leader for social discovery.

Cook co-founded myYearbook with her brother Dave in 2005. The company merged with the Quepasa Corporation in November 2011 and in June 2012 rebranded to MeetMe, Inc. Cook is responsible for creating some of the most important applications on the site, and has been instrumental in driving the site’s growth by conceiving the next popular features. As part of MeetMe’s management team, Cook continues to drive innovation toward its mission -- to be the best place to meet new people.

Cook graduated from Georgetown University in 2011, where she majored in OPIM and marketing. Many media outlets have covered her work, from CNBC, MTV, ABC News, Fox News, CosmoGirl, BusinessWeek, the San Francisco Chronicle and CBS.

StartupLab is a free virtual mentorship program created by The Young Entrepreneur Council (YEC), an invite-only non-profit organization comprised of nearly 500 of America’s most successful young entrepreneurs who have, collectively, generated tens of thousands of jobs and hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue.
