Cathie is a strategic partner with HPA Strategies, bringing more than 30 years of successful experience in the public relations/public affairs arena, across a broad spectrum of clients and issues.

She has worked for a U.S. President, numerous Governors and First Ladies, global leaders, Fortune 500 companies, national non-profits, and well-known commercial ventures. Prior to founding her own public relations firm in 2005, Cathie held management roles in several national public relations firms, including Burson Marsteller, Public Strategies, and Manning, Selvage & Lee.

Cathie was one of the original team members who created the California Governor’s Conference for Women. Her recent work has included helping create successful high profile events honoring sustainable design expert William McDonough, first female Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, and creating the media strategy for the launch of SuperBetter, a social on-line game designed by expert Jane McGonigal.

She currently serves on the President’s Council of the American Lung Association, the Board of Directors of both the Marin General Hospital Foundation and the San Domenico School, and the Community Council of the SF Chapter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
