With Food Network's Calling All Cooks, Cathy Ballou reaches out to chefs-at-large and captures their local flavor. She delves into the lives of amateur cooks, visiting them in their homes and sitting down to a home-cooked meal they've prepared. In the process, she and Calling All Cooks's co-hosts examine people's connection to food and the community it creates among those who love it.

Cathy came to Food Network from WXIA-TV in Atlanta, where she was a roving reporter and occasional host for Peachtree Morning. Cathy has been a weather anchor for several television stations, including WPTA-TV in Indiana, WHIO-TV in Ohio and WFLD-TV in Chicago. Cathy holds a B.S. in secondary education from Indiana/Purdue University in Fort Wayne, Ind.
