CeCe Winans

Multi-Grammy Award Winning Gospel Artist & Author

Priscilla Marie Winans Love, known professionally as CeCe Winans, first gained fame in the 1980s as part of the Gospel duo BeBe & CeCe Winans with her brother Bebe Winans. They achieved crossover success and released nine Gold and Platinum recordings. Their album "Different Lifestyles" sold over a million units, making them the first gospel artists to achieve this feat after Aretha Franklin.

Winans began her solo career with the album "Alone in His Presence" in 1995, which earned her a Grammy Award and two Dove Awards. She founded her own recording company, PureSprings Gospel, in 1999. Her efforts resulted in a series of successful albums, including "Alabaster Box" and "Purified." The latter, released in 2005, included contributions from her nephew Mario Winans and her son Alvin III. Some of her top hits include the duet "Count On Me" with Whitney Houston. In 2017, she released the album "Let Them Fall in Love," which won her two Grammy Awards. More recently, her live worship album "Believe for It" (2021) and her second live album "More Than This" (2024) earned her several Grammy Awards. Her latest single, "Goodness of God," was released in September 2022, and the official music video for the song was released on the same day. In 2024, she appeared on the "Kelly Clarkson Show," "The Jennifer Hudson Show," and on the season finale of "American Idol" to promote her album "More Than This."

Along with her music career, Winans has authored four books, including "On A Positive Note" and, most recently, "Believe For It: Passing on Faith to the Next Generation." She served as a judge on BET's gospel singing competition, "Sunday Best," from 2012 to 2014. CeCe Winans has been awarded 17 Grammy Awards, 31 Dove Awards, 19 Stellar Awards, 7 NAACP Image Awards, and 4 Billboard Music Awards. In 2023, she was honored with the Aretha Franklin Icon Award at the BET Stellar Awards and also won the ABGMA Inspirational Song of the Year award. She has a star on both the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Music City Walk of Fame and was one of the inaugural inductees into the Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame in Atlanta, Georgia. Currently residing in Brentwood, Tennessee, with her husband Alvin Love II, she continues to be one of the leading voices in the gospel music industry.
