Celine Song is a South Korean-Canadian director, playwright, and screenwriter based in the United States. Among her plays are "Endlings," which premiered in 2019 at the American Repertory Theater, and "The Seagull on The Sims 4," a live production directed on Twitch. "Endlings" has been named a finalist for the 2020 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, and it was selected for the 2018 O’Neill National Playwrights Conference.

Her directorial film debut, Past Lives, was released and nominated for Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay at the 96th Academy Awards. The film premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, where Song also received the Vanguard Award. Besides her directorial debut, Song has received several accolades, including Best Woman Screenwriter at the Alliance of Women Film Journalists, Best New Filmmaker at the Boston Society of Film Critics, the Robert R. "Bobby" McCurdy Memorial Breakthrough Artist Award, among others.

Song has also contributed to the television industry as a staff writer for the first season of Amazon's "The Wheel of Time." She is currently working on her next film project, The Materialists, which is in production with A24.

Song has been awarded residencies, fellowships, and commissions from MTC/Sloan, Sundance, the Millay Colony for the Arts, the MacDowell Colony, Yaddo, and the Edward F. Albee Foundation. She holds an undergraduate degree from Queen's University and an M.F.A. in playwriting from Columbia University.
