Cephus Johnson, also known as Uncle Bobby, is the Uncle to Oscar Grant III and the brother of mother Wanda Johnson.

He attended school at SF State with an emphasis in Ethnic Studies/Black History. He is the Executive Director, of the Oscar Grant Foundation. He has been the spokesperson for the family since the fatal shooting of Oscar Grant III by BART police officer Johannes Mehserle in Oakland, California. Johnson has spoken on Channel 7 Live, many radio stations in the Bay area and around the country. He attended and participated in the 2010 Congressional Black Caucus involving Criminal Justice Reforms. He spearheaded the creation of the now Bart Police Citizen Oversight Committee and Independent Police Auditor that now serves the community.

In January 2013, filmmaker Ryan Coogler premiered Fruitvale (later retitled Fruitvale Station), a dramatization of the last 24 hours in Grant's life; the film incorporates some of the footage shot by eyewitnesses during the BART confrontation, and principal photography also included locations in Oakland, San Francisco, San Leandro, and San Quentin State Prison.

Johnson has spoken at many colleges, such as, Howard University, Cal Berkeley, SF State, San Jose State, East Bay State, and most high schools throughout the Bay area. He has been the voice for justice for the Johnson/Grant family, the community, and the voice for justice throughout the country.
