Entrepreneur, Investor, Activist, Producer, CEO of MACRO

Charles D. King declared in his 1996 law school graduation yearbook that one day he would lead a diversified entertainment and media empire. More than 15 years later, that vision became a reality with the founding of MACRO. As CEO, King shapes the overarching vision, mission, and strategic direction for all aspects of MACRO and its numerous business verticals.

King held the position of Partner/Agent in the Motion Picture Department at William Morris Endeavor (WME). He made history as the first and only African-American to ascend from the training program in WME's Beverly Hills office film and TV group to Partner in the company's century-long history. Renowned across the industry for his innovative deal-making, discerning eye for talent, and forward-thinking strategies, King has been featured in notable publications such as Fortune, The New York Times Magazine, Fast Company, NPR, The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, Complex, and Essence.

Beyond his professional endeavors, King is an active angel investor and committed philanthropist. He holds membership in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences and serves on several nonprofit boards, including the Sundance Institute, the NBA Players Association, Think 450, and College Track, where he holds the role of National Vice President.

King earned his Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University and a Juris Doctor from Howard University School of Law.
