Charles Esten, an actor and musician, has made his mark in various aspects of entertainment, ranging from television dramas to improvisation shows. Esten is widely recognized for his role as country singer Deacon Claybourne on the drama "Nashville" from 2012 to 2018, during which time he also contributed to the show's soundtracks as both a singer and songwriter. His other notable roles include Ward Cameron on the teen drama series "Outer Banks" and appearances on the improvisation show "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" from 1999–2005 and 2017–2020. In addition to these, Esten has made guest appearances in various TV series such as "Married... with Children," "Star Trek: The Next Generation," and "The Office."

Esten's accomplishments extend beyond acting. In 2018, he earned a Guinness World Records title for releasing an original digital single for the most consecutive weeks by a music act. The following year, he signed with APA's concert division for music representation and continues to tour across the U.S. and Europe, performing his original music. His debut studio album, announced in 2023, included the debut single "One Good Move." Esten also released an album titled "Love Ain't Pretty" in 2024, which featured several singles, including "Undermine," "No One Will Ever Love You," and "Strong."

Offstage and offscreen, Esten's contributions to society are just as meaningful. He is the national chairman for the annual Light the Night Walks, a fundraiser benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).
