Charles Moldow, general partner at Foundation Capital with a focus on financial and marketing startups, is a newcomer to the Midas List this year based in part his 11% stake in LendingClub, which went public last year. He's also the author of a widely-cited 2014 whitepaper on marketplace lending, "A Trillion Dollar Market By the People, For the People." Current investments include AdRoll, auxmoney, BTCJam, DogVacay, Finxera (formerly Bancbox), Lending Home, Motif Investing, On Deck Capital (2014 IPO), and Refresh. Before joining Foundation Capital in 2005, Moldow had some turns in the founder's seat as part of the founding teams of Tellme Networks (acquired by Microsoft in 2007 for $760 million) and @Home Network (1997 IPO). Moldow also coaches his sons' Little League teams and is in the process of becoming a pilot in parallel with his 13-year-old son.
