Charles Winters
A very inspirational speaker that has the ability to relate to many different audiences and that draws from the obstacles in his personal life to help others achieve success.
Chuck Winters grew up in the tough HermanGarden projects of Detroit, Michigan. In 1992, he escaped the violence of his neighborhood to attend the University of Michigan. While at the University of Michigan, Chuck played both baseball and football and was extremely active in many philanthropic activities on campus. Chuck received a B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Michigan in 1996. Also, Chuck earned his MBA in Marketing from AmericanIntercontinentalUniversity in 2010.
Upon graduation, Chuck hung up his spikes and embarked on a four year professional journey but felt that something was missing. Following his four year absence from sports, he earned a position in the Arena Football league playing for the Detroit Fury. This was an honor as he was selected out of 400 athletes that attended open try-outs. After three seasons in the Arena league, Chuck was honored with the 2002 Arena Football League Hero Award. This award is presented annually to the AFL player who best exemplifies the “hero” concept by showing a strong commitment to the community and philanthropic activities. Chuck was then selected to play for the Toronto Argonauts in the CFL. In 2008, Chuck retired from the game of football after seven memorable professional seasons and now devotes his time to his family and to inspiring others. Chuck is an “inspirational” public speaker.
Chuck is married to his lovely wife of 10 years, Lynn, and has three daughters and a son; Rayven 10, Lauryn 8, Samone 7 and Charles Malik 4.
