Chauncey Strong is a motivational speaker and a committed advocate for children and families. He has dedicated his career to improving the outcomes of children and families involved in the child welfare system.

Originally from Newark, NJ, Strong earned his BA degree in social work from Elizabeth City State University in North Carolina and his MSW from Virginia's Norfolk State University.

Strong is the Executive Director of Strong Training and Consulting, LLC, specializing in child welfare training and consulting. His work focuses on family engagement, youth voice, and permanency for children and youth in foster care. He is a motivational speaker, and committed child welfare advocate with 30 years of extensive experience in the private and public sectors.

He has worked as a Foster Care Supervisor with the Fairfax County Department of Family Services in Fairfax, Virginia since 2009. He has also served as an administrator, manager, supervisor, child welfare worker, mentor, and community organizer. He is the former board chair and current member of Foster Care Alumni of America.
