Chelsea Handler is a comedian, actress, writer, television host, author and activist. From 2016 to 2017, she hosted the Netflix talk show “Chelsea.” In January 2016, Netflix released a documentary “Chelsea Does” that follows Handler exploring various topics ranging from racism to marriage.

Handler is perhaps best known, though, for hosting the E! late-night talk show “Chelsea Lately” from 2007 to 2014.

Handler is also a prolific author, with books including 2005’s “My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands,” 2008’s “Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea” and “Uganda Be Kidding Me,” the last of which was turned into a standup show “Uganda Be Kidding Me: Live.”

Handler is a vocal supporter of LGBTQ communities, and in 2009, she received the Ally for Equality Award from the Human Rights Campaign. That same year, Handler was named the Grand Marshal of the Los Angeles Pride Festival and Parade for her visible support of equality.

In 2012, Time magazine named Handler one of the 100 most influential people in the world.

Handler has been featured on the covers of Playboy, Shape, The Hollywood Reporter, Marie Claire and Redbook.

Last year, when Chelsea Handler walked away from a multi-million dollar contract for her hit show Chelsea Lately on E!, whispers were in heavy rotation of her slipping into David Letterman’s spot on CBS or Jay Leno’s chair at NBC.
