Cherry Woodburn

Reframes the way we look at failure and mistakes through positive images and storytelling to affect behavior change.

Recent research shows that behavior change occurs more through emotional appeals than factual statements – more through compelling positive images than through fear.

Cherry Woodburn works with you and your team to show you that it is possible to achieve more by working smarter and learning together. She shows you how to go beyond fear and past failures, to effectively manage data and team communication in a way the gives you a competitive advantage!

The foundation of Cherry’s programs and follow-up consulting is for you to discover your own answers to the questions that limit you from reaching the best possible results. The idea is to foster independence so that in the future, your teams can execute successfully on their own.

Working as a leadership and process consultant to small companies, as well as Fortune 500 companies for over two decades, Cherry has helped organizations increase their bottom line, reduce errors and improve efficiencies. Her clients have included East Penn Manufacturing, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, General Electric, DuPont, Martin Guitar and Mack Trucks. Early in her consulting career, Cherry was on the leadership design team chosen by American Society for Quality (ASQ) to develop an innovative model for bringing quality practices to the classroom. She became one of three original Master Trainers for the Koalaty Kids initiative, which is now taught around the globe.

Cherry teaches through storytelling – telling stories of successful change and successful process improvements, many of which began with failures. Then you and your team share stories of your own. The room buzzes with energy and laughter. Cherry guides the flow of energy from stories and concepts to methods of data analysis, process improvement and /or leadership and back again.

You and your team will begin to see the possibilities ...

Prior to having her own consulting business, Cherry worked for General Electric in employee relations.  She was chosen to be interviewed for the 11th edition of "Mission Possible" along with Stephen Covey and Brian Tracy.

It is taught over time to your project teams with the methodology applied to existing improvement issues.

Is The Myth Of Sisyphus Alive And Well In Your Organization?

The gods had condemned Sisyphus to ceaselessly rolling a rock to the top of a mountain, where the rock would promptly roll back down of its own weight. They had thought there was no worse punishment than futile and hopeless labor. Team meetings can often feel the same way. Group process and communication skills are the essence of an organization yet they are never cited as a core competency. Through modeling, lecture, storytelling, and experiential exercises you learn how to design and lead your meetings. As a team leader or member you learn how your beliefs and behaviors block the very success you’re trying to attain.

This provocative workshop causes you to question the way you’ve led your organization, your department, your team and your life. The questions you ask and how you ask them determine what you find.
