Mr. Chinh E. Chu is the Founder and Managing Director at CC Capital Partners, LLC, a private investment firm which he founded in 2015. Mr. Chu and CC Capital founded 2 SPACs: CF Corp. ($1.2 billion), the largest U.S. SPAC raised at such time in May 2016 and Collier Creek ($475 million), a consumer products SPAC raised in October 2018 with Roger Deromedi and Jason Giordano.

Currently, Mr. Chu serves as Co-Executive Chairman of Fidelity & Guaranty Life, the successor to CF Corp. CC Capital also led the going-private of Dun & Bradstreet, a $6.9 billion transaction announced on August 8th, 2018.

Prior to CC Capital, Mr. Chu was a Senior Managing Director at The Blackstone Group where he worked for 25 years from 1990 to 2015. Mr. Chu was Co-Chair of Blackstone’s Private Equity Executive Committee, a member of the Investment Committee and served on the firm’s Executive Committee. Blackstone is one of the world’s leading investment firms with Assets Under Management of $434 billion as of December 2017 as compared to the $1 million in capital it had when Mr. Chu joined the firm.

In addition to CF Corp, Mr. Chu currently serves as a Director on the boards of NCR Corporation and Stearns Mortgage. Mr. Chu previously served as a Director of Catalent, Inc., Kronos Incorporated, SunGard Data Systems, Inc., Freescale Semiconductor, Ltd. Biomet, Inc., Alliant, Celanese Corporation, Nalco Company, Nycomed, Alliant Insurance Services, Inc., the London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange, or LIFFE, Graham Packaging, and AlliedBarton Security Services.

Before joining Blackstone in 1990, Mr. Chu worked at Salomon Brothers in the Mergers & Acquisitions Department. Mr. Chu received a B.S. in Finance from the University of Buffalo.
