Chong Kim

Human Trafficking Survivor & Author of "Broken Silence"

Chong Kim is an Asian American survivor of Human Trafficking and Child Sex Exploitation and is now a dedicated human and civil rights advocate. Kim has dedicated more than 20 years to educating the public about safety, prevention, and how to identify red flags in possible groomers. Kim has remained a staunch advocate for the cause, a voice for the voiceless. Working alongside those who are striving to end slavery and injustice, she empowers victims and survivors alike.

In the fall of 2023, Kim launched her first short film titled E40S (Every 40 Seconds), inspired by her real-life experience and the cases she has assisted in the investigation. The film tackles the pressing issues surrounding human trafficking and exploitation. E40S made history by snagging the IMDB qualifier's 8 & HalFilm Awards for Best Narrative Short Film and Best American Film. The celebrated filmmaker is grounded in the U.S.'s struggle for liberation and justice but is also concerned with injustice globally.

The prominent luminary filmmaker and advocate has been featured on CNBC, Montel, CNN-UK, BBC, and Huff-Post Live and featured Kim's survival story, "Eden," which has also been shown throughout Asia, the United States, Europe, and the UK. As of October 2023, the film remains a New York Times Critics Pick. Kim has piloted many outreach initiatives in support of victims. She was awarded by San Diego's My Sister's Voice for her work in the 'Top 40 Women Who Inspired the World.'

As a sought-after power broker in the entertainment industry, Kim is using her platform to bring awareness to human trafficking, a subject that Kim knows about all too well as a survivor of exploitation and adult human trafficking. The producer's relentless efforts to shine a light on the dark corners of human trafficking have earned her worldwide acclaim.
