Chris Altchek is CEO and co-founder of Mic, a digital media company (formerly PolicyMic). With twelve million unique readers each month, Mic helps young people understand what’s happening in the world, why it matters, and how it impacts them. Before starting Mic, Altchek worked in investment banking at Goldman Sachs. Earlier experiences include policy work for the National Economic Council at the White House, political organizing for the Service Employees International Union, and voter outreach for New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s successful 2009 re-election. Altchek was named to the 2014 Forbes’s 30 Under 30 list.
