Chris Brown

Grammy Award-Winning R&B Singer-Songwriter, Actor & Entrepreneur

Chris Brown began his music career with his self-titled debut album in 2005. The album was certified triple platinum, and its lead single, "Run It!", topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making Brown the first male act since Montell Jordan in 1995 to have a debut single achieve this feat. His second studio album, "Exclusive," released in 2007, further established his success with its lead single "Kiss Kiss," also reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100. In addition to his music, Brown made his feature film debut in "Stomp the Yard" and later appeared in other films, including "This Christmas," "Takers," "Think Like a Man," and "Battle of the Year."

Brown's subsequent albums continued to garner critical and commercial success. His album "F.A.M.E." won the Grammy Award for Best R&B Album, and his eighth studio album "Heartbreak on a Full Moon" was certified double platinum. With his ninth studio album, "Indigo," Brown achieved another milestone as the album debuted atop the Billboard 200. The single "No Guidance" from this album broke the record for longest-running number one on Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, a record that was later broken by his single "Go Crazy." Brown's musical accomplishments have not only been recognized by various awards but also through record-breaking sales, with over 140 million records sold worldwide. He won his second Best R&B Album Grammy at the 67th Grammy Awards for "11:11 (Deluxe)."

Aside from his musical and acting pursuits, Brown's activities demonstrate his commitment to philanthropy and entrepreneurship. He co-headlined a major tour in 2006 to promote his debut album, with a portion of the ticket proceeds going to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Additionally, he has made appearances on a number of television shows, including UPN's "One on One" and The N's "Brandon T. Jackson Show." Brown is also the founder of the record label CBE ("Chris Brown Entertainment") and has launched several business ventures including a lifestyle website, a line of backpacks, and a limited edition cereal called "Breezy's Cosmic Crunch."
