Chris Carmack

Actor, Model & Singer; Best known for "Nashville"

James Christopher "Chris" Carmack is an actor, singer and former fashion model, best known for his roles in "The O.C." and "Nashville".

Carmack attended New York University to pursue an Arts degree at the Tisch School, and later left after being discovered by a modeling scout. This resulted in the launch of his modeling career, with frequent appearances in catalogs and editorials such as Lord and Taylor, Macy's, Target, Who.A.U, Elle France, Nautica, Guess?, and Cosmogirl.

After two years in New York City, Carmack moved to Los Angeles and began his acting career on the first season of "The O.C.". In 2005, Carmack starred in the film "Lovewrecked", and later that year appeared in "Suburban Girl", "H20 Extreme", and "The Butterfly Effect 3: Revelations". He made his first voice role in "Alpha and Omega", in 2010, and reprised his role as Garth in "Alpha and Omega 2: A Howl-iday Adventure", being one of the few actors from the original to appear in at least one sequel. He made brief appearances in "Desperate Housewives", "Drop Dead Diva", "Smallville" and "NCIS" before landing a substantial role in the ABC drama series "Nashville" (2013-2018). During his time on "Nashville", Carmack released multiple songs both independently and alongside the cast. The following year, Carmack held a recurring role in "Grey's Anatomy", and in 2019 was promoted to a series regular.
